To help prevent cockroaches from entering your home or workplace,

 Eliminate Food & Water Sources

Cockroaches thrive in dirty, moist environments. Reduce their access to:

• Food crumbs: clean kitchen floors, counters, and behind appliances regularly.

• Pet food: Don’t leave pet food out overnight.

• Garbage: Seal trash cans and take out the trash frequently.

• Water: Fix leaky pipes, don’t leave standing water, and dry out sinks before bed.

Seal Entry Points

Block access to your home:

• Caulk cracks in walls, baseboards, and around pipes.

• Install door sweeps on exterior doors.

• Screen windows and vents.

Use Baits & Traps

Place baits strategically in areas where roaches travel:

• Gel baits: Apply behind appliances, under sinks, and in cracks.

• Bait stations: Set them in dark corners, behind toilets, and near trash areas.

• Sticky traps: Help monitor infestations and roach activity.

Avoid spraying around bait — sprays can repel roaches away from bait stations.

Pest Demise will use Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs)

IGRs prevent roaches from reproducing by disrupting their life cycle:

• Often used with baits.

• Slower acting but very effective long-term.

Insecticide Sprays (as a last resort)

Use only in high-infestation zones and avoid food areas:

• Choose products labelled for indoor use against roaches.

• Use perimeter sprays near entry points and baseboards.

• Do not overuse — this can spread roaches or create resistance.
