How long after a pest treatment is it safe for pets?

How to tell the difference between rats and mice: 

 To tell if you have rats or mice in your roof, check the sound volume is louder for rats, droppings size, and chew marks common with rats. Rats make loud, heavy scurrying and gnawing noises, while mice make soft, light scratching sounds. Rat droppings are large (12–20 mm) with blunt ends, whereas mouse droppings are tiny (3–6 mm) and pointed. After your treatment you may  hear noises and you may notice increased activity or scratching for a short period as the treatment flushes pests out of hiding spots. What can I do to prevent cockroaches in my house: 

Cockroaches come inside the house looking for food, water, and shelter. They are mostly drawn by crumbs, open garbage, leaking pipes, and dark hiding spots. They can also squeeze through tiny cracks or hitch a ride on bags and boxes. Keep all bench tops clean and dry, never leave dishes in the sink. Vaccuum daily particularly the kitchen and dining areas.
